Door Status

The Door Status page allows you to view the current status of all doors regulated by the access control unit selected in the Unit ID field. From this page, you can perform any of the following tasks:

To lock, unlock, or pulse a door, select the applicable button to the left of the door's icon.

To lock or unlock multiple doors, use one of the buttons near the bottom of the Door Status page.

Please be aware that if you manually unlock a door or doors, those doors remain unlocked until they are either manually re-locked or, if applicable, the next time zone change occurs.

Overview

Site ID - indicates the logged on site  

Unit ID – indicates the access control unit currently selected

Last Refresh @ - indicates the last date/time the page was refreshed. A page refresh is initiated whenever one of the following actions occurs:

Lock Button - select to lock the door

Unlock Button - select to unlock the door (the door remains unlocked until it is manually locked or the next time zone lock period occurs.)

Pulse Button - momentarily unlocks a door then automatically re-locks the door at the end of the door relay unlock time setting specified in the Client

Timed Unlock - allows setting a period when the door remains unlocked to a maximum of seven days. The door unlocks at the point the clicking on the Apply Timed Unlock. The door relocks on the last second of the last minute specified for the timed unlock.  

Door Status indicates the door's current status which will be one of the following states:

Lock All Current Site Button - locks all doors controlled by all the access control units of the logged on site

Unlock All Current Site Button - unlocks all doors controlled by all the access control units at the logged on site

Lock All Current Unit Button - locks all doors controlled by the selected access control unit

Unlock All Current Unit Button - unlocks all doors controlled by the selected access control unit

Refresh Button - polls the panel to update any changes made to the door status

Exit - closes the Door Status page and returns to the main page

Procedures

These procedures assume you have logged on to the appropriate site. Please remember the minimum unlock interval is 5 minutes and the maximum unlock interval is 7 days. If the K-WEB Client is in a different time zone, please bear in mind that the unlock period is based on the time zone where the door is located.

  1. If, applicable, click on the down arrow below Unit ID and select the door control unit if it is not currently selected.

  2. Click on the Timed Unlock button of the door that you are going to unlock.

  3. If the unlock period extends beyond today's date, click on Month / Day / Year below Date, and go to the next step, otherwise go to step 5.

  6. Select the Apply Timed Unlock button. Wait for the Processing Communications Request screen to close.

  7. To return to the main screen, click on the Exit button.

Provided your System User account has permission, you can access alternative sites from the Door Status page. Please be aware that changing sites from this page only allows you to use the Door Status function. You cannot access the Cardholder Database and Transaction Reports at an alternate site unless you follow the procedures outlined under Change Sites.

  1. From the Door Status page, click on the down arrow to the right of Site ID.

  2. Select the alternative site from the drop down list.

  3. Enter your Keyscan system user password in the Password text field. (Passwords are case sensitive)

  4. Click on the Change Site button.
